Pakistan is a south Asian and the world's fifth most populous country. It came into being on 14th August 1947. We have faced many social issues like unemployment, poverty, child labor, Social media misuse, illiteracy, and Poor law enforcement. A social issue is a problem that is recognized by the public. Some of the social issues of Pakistan can be described as:
1. Unemployment:
It is one of the current social issues in Pakistan. Many degree-holding graduates can't find jobs due to the damaged economical conditions of Pakistan. Pakistan has 63% of youngsters but due to lack of work, they waste their time by using different apps on smartphones and in other activities. Unemployment results in the usage of drugs, robbery, and social insecurities.
2. Poverty:
Due to large family sizes and low incomes, poverty is common in Pakistan. Many people are being deficient in basic needs of life like food, Shelter, education, clothes, etc. The highest Population growth, lack of education, and unemployment are the major reasons for poverty in Pakistan.
3. Child labor:
In poor families, a child is considered an earning hand. Thousands of children are working in brick industries, automobile shops, and garbage handling due to poor families condition. Child labor is considered a violation of human rights and it is also a major social issue in Pakistan.
4. Social media misuse:
Many people in Pakistan use social media to hurt the privacy of another person. They troll a mistake of a person so that the person wanted to suicide. They use social media for rubbish usage of language, blackmailing, and gossip without thinking.
5. Illiteracy:
A survey showed that only 60% population of Pakistan is literate. People in rural areas and tribes focus on earning without education. Education makes a person a responsible citizen but without it, many social crimes and health problems would grow.
6. Poor law enforcement:
The major issue in Pakistan is that only the poor are responsible for paying taxes but many rich people are living without paying taxes. A bribe is common in many sectors of police, education, and health.
